Published Game Configuration Terms
Version: 2026.06.27
Effective date: 27/6/2569
Overview
These Published Game Configuration Terms govern what happens when you publish a game configuration on Ember Tables.
Publishing is a distinct legal and product event. It converts a draft or saved configuration into a durable public platform object that can be played, discovered, forked, remixed, modified, renamed, republished, analyzed, streamed, and otherwise used under platform rules.
These terms are designed for the current MVP published-game layer. They do not govern future paid cosmetics, creator marketplace assets, uploaded art, audio, fonts, or similar expressive-asset programs unless separate terms say so.
Definitions
A “Published Game Configuration” means the structured, engine-readable game configuration that is created or selected through Ember Tables tools and published to the Service.
Published Game Configurations may include rules, values, settings, card or board parameters, effects, costs, victory conditions, timers, deck rules, and other structured platform data used by the engine.
A Published Game Configuration does not include Ember Tables software, engine code, site chrome, platform UI, service infrastructure, or separate expressive assets such as cosmetics, artwork, audio, fonts, marketplace assets, or other materials governed by separate terms.
Assent and Electronic Agreement
You must accept the current version of these Published Game Configuration Terms before publishing under that version.
By clicking the publish confirmation or otherwise completing the publish flow, you agree that your electronic acceptance is your signature and agreement to these terms for the Published Game Configuration you publish.
Ember Tables may store policy slug, version, content hash or equivalent record identifier, timestamp, and acceptance context to document the terms that governed a publication.
Publishing Is Permanent From Your Side
After publication, you do not have a user-side right to delete, unpublish, reclaim, withdraw, approve, veto, manage, or block normal downstream use of the Published Game Configuration.
Your account may retain a private shortcut or organizational record showing games you published, but that record does not give you ownership, deletion, unpublish, approval, attribution, compensation, or management rights over the public Published Game Configuration.
Account deletion, account closure, suspension, or termination does not require Ember Tables to remove Published Game Configurations that were published under these terms.
Published Version Stability and Platform Changes
Published Game Configurations are intended to be durable platform artifacts. Ember Tables may preserve, copy, index, rank, recommend, cache, migrate, archive, delist, disable, or otherwise manage them for platform, legal, security, integrity, product, or operational reasons.
Ember Tables may modify platform software, rules engines, balance systems, metadata, presentation, compatibility layers, or surrounding product features. These changes may affect how a Published Game Configuration is displayed, played, discovered, recommended, forked, or supported.
Ember Tables has no obligation to host, maintain, promote, support, or continue making any Published Game Configuration available indefinitely.
License to Ember Tables
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you grant Ember Tables a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free, fully paid license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, prepare derivative works from, modify, adapt, translate, retheme, rebalance, analyze, index, rank, recommend, commercialize, promote, and otherwise use the Published Game Configuration in connection with the Service, Ember Tables products, and related business purposes.
This license includes rights to use Published Game Configurations for gameplay, matchmaking, recommendations, rankings, search, discovery, previews, moderation, security, anti-abuse, balance analysis, bots, training, coaching, puzzle generation, analytics, platform improvement, research, marketing, trailers, screenshots, press materials, investor materials, and future Ember Tables services.
To the extent any transfer, assignment, exclusive license, waiver, or additional permission is needed to accomplish the platform-control purposes described in these terms, you grant Ember Tables the broadest permission and control interest permitted by law.
Copyrightability and Game Mechanics
These terms do not claim that abstract ideas, procedures, systems, methods of operation, rules, mechanics, concepts, principles, or discoveries are copyrightable merely because they appear in a Published Game Configuration.
Where a Published Game Configuration contains protectable expression, selection, arrangement, compilation, data structure, text, metadata, or other protectable material that you provide or control, the license above applies to that material.
Where legal rights cannot be owned, transferred, waived, or licensed in the same way, these terms operate as a contract giving Ember Tables practical platform control to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Platform and Community Use Rights
Ember Tables may allow users and permitted ecosystem participants to play, fork, modify, remix, rename, rebalance, republish, stream, discuss, compare, teach, analyze, and build lawful community activity around Published Game Configurations under platform rules.
You do not have a right to block forks, derivatives, variants, recommendations, rankings, events, streams, coverage, analysis, commercialization, or other platform-authorized uses of a Published Game Configuration.
Ember Tables may authorize third-party community events and commercial events involving Published Game Configurations under the Community and Commercial Events Policy.
Public Metadata and Presentation
Published Game Configurations and associated public metadata may be public, discoverable, searchable, recommended, indexed, analyzed, and displayed through the Service.
Ember Tables is not required to display your name, account identity, authorship credit, publication history, or attribution in connection with a Published Game Configuration, its forks, or derivatives.
Ember Tables may rename, retheme, reformat, reclassify, delist, feature, rank, recommend, or otherwise present Published Game Configurations in its discretion.
No Public Attribution, Compensation, or Ongoing Creator Control
You are not entitled to public attribution, approval rights, veto rights, deletion rights, royalties, revenue share, compensation, reimbursement, ongoing management rights, or control over downstream use of a Published Game Configuration.
Ember Tables may commercialize the Service, public gameplay, events, recommendations, rankings, access, future tools, or other platform activity involving Published Game Configurations without paying you, unless Ember Tables separately agrees in writing.
Separate Expressive Assets, Cosmetics, and Marketplace Materials
Cosmetics, artwork, audio, fonts, uploaded assets, marketplace materials, and other expressive creator assets are separate from the core Published Game Configuration layer unless separate terms say otherwise.
At MVP launch, Ember Tables does not operate a paid cosmetics marketplace, creator asset marketplace, creator payout program, resale market, or revenue-share program.
Future creator-asset or marketplace programs may give creators different rights, removal options, payout terms, or license structures for those assets. Those future terms will not reduce Ember Tables' rights in Published Game Configurations already published under these terms unless Ember Tables expressly says so.
Machine-Readable Access and Separate Policies
Published Game Configurations may be visible to the Service, users, bots, moderation systems, analytics systems, and other platform systems in machine-readable form.
Public visibility does not grant a right to scrape, bulk harvest, export, replicate, or rebuild Ember Tables or its databases. Automated or high-scale access may require separate permission, API terms, or data terms.
At MVP launch, Ember Tables does not offer an official paid API/data product or developer portal.
Removal, Delisting, and Compliance
Ember Tables may remove, delist, disable, restrict, modify access to, or stop supporting a Published Game Configuration for legal, safety, security, copyright, privacy, integrity, abuse, product, operational, or business reasons.
Copyright or other legal takedowns may override ordinary publication permanence. A removed or restricted Published Game Configuration does not create a right to compensation or restoration except where required by law.
Your Promises
You represent and warrant that you have all rights needed to publish the Published Game Configuration and grant the rights described in these terms.
You agree not to publish configurations that infringe rights, violate law, contain unlawful material, exploit minors, invade privacy, impersonate others, or are designed to attack, bypass, overload, or disrupt the Service.
You agree to provide reasonable cooperation or confirmatory information if needed to document the rights and permissions granted by these terms.
No Compensation
You understand and agree that publishing a Published Game Configuration does not entitle you to compensation, royalties, revenue share, reimbursement, public credit, approval, or control over later platform or community use.
Any future paid creator program, marketplace program, sponsorship program, or revenue-share program requires separate written or clickthrough terms and does not apply retroactively unless Ember Tables expressly says so.
